How to Update My Wallet Browser Extension?

Chrome, Brave, and Edge

Note: MetaMask Extension automatically updates when you lock and then unlock the app. Occasionally there is a need to update the extension. Please follow these instructions to do so.

Note: You can follow these instructions to update any Wallet (or other) extensions you have.

Click the extension icon on the toolbar and at the end of the menu click 'Manage extensions'. Or if you want to only update a specific extension right-click on its icon in your toolbar and choose the menu option 'Manage extension'.

Use the toggle in the top right to turn on Developer mode.

Update Extensions

Click on Update.

Firefox

Click on the Extensions icon and then on 'Manage Extensions'. Or if you want to update a specific wallet click its icon on the toolbar and the 'Manage Extension' option.
