How To Port Tokens Step By Step

Connect your wallet to ChainPort's bridge.

ChainPort supports Ledger, Trezor, Coinbase Wallet, Wallet Connect, and Metamask wallets.**

Select your SOURCE (From) chain and TARGET (To) chain.

Click on "Select a token" and choose the token you want to port and the amount you wish to port.

If you don't see the token in the list, you can search by TOKEN SYMBOL or by pasting the TOKEN ADDRESS.
You can also check all the tokens officially ported by ChainPort here

Set the amount you want to port

Some tokens can have minimum amount to port

Click Approve

This step will appear if the amount to port is bigger than the Spending Cap. Read more about spending cap here.

Click Port button

Confirm Port Modal Explanation
Token: Symbol of the token that's going to be ported
Token Address: Original token address. The token received on the target chain will have a different address unique for the target chain
Amount: The number of tokens to be ported. If the fee is paid in the token, you will receive the amount less the fee.
Source Chain: The chain the token will be porting from
Wallet Address: Wallet related to the source chain
Target Chain: The chain the token will be ported to
Wallet Address: Wallet related to the target chain
Transaction Fee: Cover the transaction cost
Port Fee: Pay fees with the ported token - 0.3% of the port volume or pay with the PORTX token - 0.2% of the port volume.

If you attempt to port unverified tokens, it might get stuck on the bridge. Make sure to verify before porting, as ChainPort won't refund lost or stuck ports of unverified tokens. Check ChainPort's official token list on Explore. Click "Port Anyway" to proceed with the port.

Once completed you will see Assets Arrived

Easy right?! Let's just keep in mind:

Gas Fees: Make sure you have enough gas to cover the transaction fees. Otherwise, you won't be able to complete the porting process, and your tokens will be "held" until enough gas is provided to the blockchain.

Token Address: Adding the right token address to your wallet on the target blockchain is another important step. Token addresses are different on every blockchain, so make sure you import the correct address to your wallet, otherwise, you won't be able to see the tokens in your wallet even if the transaction was already completed.
