How To Port Tokens Back To Native Chain?

How To Port Tokens Back To Native Chain?

Connect your wallet. To do so, click on "Connect Wallet" and select the wallet you're using.

Select the non-native chain as the source chain and the token’s native chain as the target chain.

Select the token and the number of tokens you wish to port.

Select the gas speed, applicable only if the source chain is Ethereum.

Click on ‘Approve Token’, this will give permission for ChainPort to access the selected token from your wallet. This is only done once, so if you have already approved the tokens, please proceed to the next step.

Step 5

Click ‘Burn’, this will burn the ChainPort-wrapped tokens to avoid extra supply.

Step 6

Once the Burn step is completed, you will be asked to switch the network. Please proceed to switch.

Step 7

Proceed to ‘Release’, this will release the original form of the tokens in the native chain to your wallet.

Step 8

Once completed you will see ‘Port Successful'

Step 9

Easy right?! Let's just keep in mind:

Gas Fees: Ensure you have enough gas to cover the transaction fees. Otherwise, you won't be able to complete the porting process, and your tokens will be "held" until enough gas is provided to the blockchain.

Token Address: Adding the right token address to your wallet on the target blockchain is another important step. Token addresses are different on every blockchain, so make sure you import the correct address to your wallet, otherwise, you won't be able to see the tokens in your wallet even if the transaction was already completed.
