How to Bridge USDC?

The Different Ways to Bridge USDC

ChainPort supports USDC bridging via token wrapping and two external protocols: CCTP and Li.Fi.

CCTP is a protocol that enables native cross-chain bridging between different chains. Li.Fi is a bridge aggregator protocol that enables cross-chain transfers.

Using CCTP, USDC can be bridged to and from:

  • Ethereum
  • Arbitrum
  • Optimism
  • Base
  • Avalanche

When using Li.Fi, USDC can be bridged to and from:

  • Ethereum
  • Polygon

It is important to note that the available target networks for bridging USDC may differ depending on the source network from which USDC is being bridged. For instance, if a user is coming from AVAX with USDC and wants to port, they will only see the following network options: Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base.

If a user holds USDC on Polygon and wants to bridge, they will see the following target network options: Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base.

However, it is possible to bridge USDC to Humanode from any chain where we support Native cross-chain bridging, for example, Avalanche

In this case, the user must bridge USDC to Ethereum first and then bridge it to Humanode.

USDC Bridging via CCTP

Supported Chains:

  • Ethereum
  • Polygon
  • Arbitrum
  • Optimism
  • Base
  • Avalanche

Wrapped USDC Bridging

Supported Chains:

  • Ethereum
  • Humanode
  • Meld

USDC Bridging Tips

Users should be aware that the available target networks for bridging USDC may vary depending on the source network from which USDC is being bridged. Remember, if your preferred destination isn't immediately visible, a strategic port to Ethereum first unlocks a broader spectrum of blockchains.

Happy Bridging!
