You Don't See The Tokens in Your Wallet?

Here we explain to you how to import them manually

|| **NOTE: Wallets are constantly improving and updating for various reasons. As such, the method to import the tokens can differ from what is written here.

MetaMask 🦊 (Extension & Mobile App)

Open your MetaMask wallet and click on the "Tokens" tab.
At the bottom of the page, click on the "Import Tokens" button.
Select "Custom Token" from the import options.
Fill in the Token Contract Address, Token Symbol, and Token Decimal Places for your custom token. Be sure to copy and paste the Token Contract Address accurately, as even a slight typo can lead to you adding the wrong token.
Click on "Add Custom Token" when you've filled in all the details.
If the information is correct, your custom token will be added to your MetaMask wallet. You should see its ticker and balance displayed alongside your other assets.

Ledger 🔐

Find the token's contract address.
Open Ledger Live and go to the "Accounts" tab.
Click on the "Settings" button next to the account where you want to add the token.
Select "Manage custom tokens."
Click "Add token."
Enter the token's contract address.
Click "Continue."
Review the information and click "Add token."

Open the Developer Console by right-clicking on the webpage and select "Inspect". | As an alternative, Use this keyboard shortcut: Cmd + Option + J (Linux/MacOS) or Ctrl +Shift +J (Windows).
Select “Application” in the console’s top menu. If you don't see that section click on the Arrow next to the sections displayed

In the left menu, select Storage and click the button, in the right "Clear site data"
Select “Local Storage” in the console’s left menu.
Right-click https://app.chainport.io and click clear to delete the local storage.
Repeat steps 4 and 5, but this time, select "Session Storage"
Right-click in the "Refresh" button of your browser, and select "Empty Cache and Hard Reload"

If you've received tokens with a different contract address after bridging with ChainPort, don't worry – it's part of the process. When bridging tokens via the lock and mint bridging method with ChainPort, you get a ChainPort-wrapped token on the target chain with a different contract address. A token’s contract address changes depending on the blockchain it operates. You can double-check a token’s contract address on different chains on CoinGecko or blockchain scanners.

Why is There a Difference:

A wrapped crypto token is typically a digital asset converted to function on a blockchain network other than its original one. This ensures cross-chain compatibility and easy exchangeability.

Check Liquidity:

To ensure liquidity, always check the contract address of the token you're trying to port. Visit our explorer to verify if the project has officially chosen ChainPort as its bridge.

ChainPort charges a 0.3% bridging fee, one of the lowest in cross-chain bridging, with no extra or minimum fees.

Users can pay this fee in either the chain’s gas token or the token being bridged by selecting their preference under the “advanced” option before bridging. In addition to bridging fees, standard gas fees apply. On most chains, these are minimal (often under ~$1.5), but bridging to Ethereum may incur higher, fluctuating costs due to Ethereum’s gas demand. The exact extra fee can be checked by hovering over the tooltip in the Confirm Modal under “Gas Fee.”

How to Port Tokens Step by Step

Step 1 - Connect Your Wallet

Head over to the ChainPort app (https://app.chainport.io/) and connect your wallet. Wallets such as Ledger, Trezor, Coinbase Wallet, Wallet Connect, and Metamask are supported by ChainPort.

Step 2 - Select the Chains & Token

In the drop-down menu, select the source blockchain and token. Next, select the target chain.

Step 3 - Confirm Tx & Get Tokens

Before confirming the transaction, please review all the related information. Details include the source and target blockchain, gas fees, and the specific number of tokens you’d like to bridge. Once all details are confirmed, please approve the transaction and wait a minute or two. After the transaction, you will receive your tokens on the selected target chain.
